Mr. Putin, You Say You Don't Want to Start A Civil War in Ukraine. If This is True, Pull Your Troops Away From the Border and Allow UN Peacekeepers to Protect Eastern Ukraine

If you are concerned that the Russian speaking citizens of Ukraine will not be protected, then vote to send UN Peacekeepers into Eastern Ukraine to protect them. Remove your soldiers and troublemakers from Ukraine and take them back to Russia.
Do you remember what started the "Cold War" between our nations? I do. In 1959 I was born in a small town in Ohio, population around 330 people. WE were a family of seven. My father was a hard working gentle man who could strap the skin off of your legs if you made him made enough.
When I attended elementary school, we had nuclear bomb drills. Living so close to Wright Patterson AFB it was laughable. We would go out into the hall and put our head between our knees. It would be easier to kiss our asses goodbye in that position.
Since that time, many new, more deadly weapons have been developed out of fear of one another. You fear us, we fear you, the rest of the world fears China, Russia, and the United States.
However, since 1945, no foreign leader has brought the world closer to WWIII than you have recently. You sent a "listening post" ship into Cuba. You intend to take Ukraine by force. You have literally kidnapped and held hostage millions of people in Crimea that do not want to be Russian.

I know what makes you tick. I study people every day. I watch what they do, and more importantly, what they do not do. I have become very adept at this "sensing" of others. I usually know what they are going to do before they do.
I know you plan to cross into Ukraine next Monday after Kiev crushes the pro-Russian citizens. However, the unrest in Russia is greater than you have estimated. A revolt of the kind of proportions like you have never seen will be unleashed if you invade Ukraine. If you pull back your troops and return Crimea to Ukraine, history will look more favorably on you.
One night I stood in the middle of the River Styx. I was asked to choose between good and evil. The rest of my life would revolve around that decision. Next Monday, will be your River Styx.
You see, I have seen the many former Russian provinces voting to secede from a beaten Russia that tried to take over Ukraine and failed. The world turned against Russia. Its assets were frozen. Its economy was in tatters. Its people were starving to separate from Moscow. This is 2 to 4 years from now.
Imagine a Russia that has no customers for its oil and natural gas. Imagine a Russia who cannot buy or sell anything to any other country in the world. Imagine every Russian citizen with your name on their lips cursing you. This is the future of Russia if your troops invade Ukraine.
Economic death comes slowly and painfully. You can rejoin the human race any time you choose to. We welcome your immediate withdraw of your troops and spies from Ukraine this week as a showing of faith. If there is to be a war, let it be against common enemies- ignorance, hatred, greed, lust, prejudice, and blood lust.
There have been enough deaths this century over religion, territories, and pride. I ask you to join me in making this year, a year where all wars ended- where the word peace was on everyone's lips. A year where life was more valuable than a person's injured pride.
MADD- Mutually Assured Death and Destruction comes in many forms. They are not all military weapons. Let Ukraine remain sovereign. Release Crimea from your grasp. You might even win the Nobel Peace Prize, like the one that the European Union "claiming my advice" won instead of it going to me. But, alas. I am a mere American researcher trying to extend the hand of friendship around the world.
When you get back to the United States, look me up. My government knows where I am. I would bet you I could beat you at a game of poker. You would beat me at a staring contest though. Let us put our two countries to bed today in a safer world.
I know you read my blogs, a good half of the hits are from Russia:)
Do what is best for your country. Let Ukraine go. Let Crimea go and move your naval port back to the mainland. Do not let another person die over injured pride.
And tell Roshen in Ukraine he owes me 40 cases of chocolate! I expect him to honor my request. Mr. Putin, you can thank me by sending me a case of your best Vodka, and ten cases of Russian caviar.
That's my price for saving the world. If you want to share the Nobel Peace Prize with me you had better hurry.
